Something just occurred to me about GWB...He's rebelling against his father. His father was perceived by the media to be weak and out of touch with the common man. Bush junior is really emphasizing a connection with the common man. IE: The comments like "we're going out to brand a steer" (said about he and Powell when asked about rumors that Powel would not serve in 2004 were Bush to be reelected).
